The Illinois Department of Corrections recently opened a new, 80,000-square-foot in-patient facility featuring 150 mental health beds and 50 medical beds with abundant daylight, natural materials, and therapeutic colors in Joliet. The State of Illinois sought to design and build an in-patient treatment facility that would establish a new standard nationwide for the delivery of health services in a secure environment. To help meet the needs of the new facility without sacrificing security or quality, the facility purchased durable plumbing fixtures by Willoughby Industries.
