Karnes Corrections Center in Columbus, Ohio, stands as a national model for modern correctional facilities—blending innovative design, strategic operations, and a commitment to humane treatment.
The 600,000-square-foot, 2,800-bed transformative correctional facility—designed by architects and engineers from DLZ and HDR—is the culmination of strategic planning over the last decade and features various interior finishes, color palettes, furniture, and fixtures throughout to create a normative environment.
