Additional Protection at the Point of Use
Managing waterborne pathogens is an important consideration in healthcare plumbing systems. The BioArmor® system treats water inside separate hot and cold chambers before it reaches the faucet, providing an additional layer of protection directly at the fixture.
The system uses ultraviolet light-emitting diodes to treat the water without filters or harsh chemicals. Onboard monitoring, indicator lights, and error alarms help facility teams confirm system operation and identify potential issues.
System Features
The BioArmor® UV-C Disinfection System includes:
- Ultraviolet light-emitting diode treatment
- Separate treatment chambers for hot and cold water
- Onboard monitoring with indicator lights and error alarms
- Installation inside the trap cover between the stop valves and faucet
- Flow rates up to 1.5 gallons per minute
- A 12-volt plug-in transformer
The compact system installs with compatible Willoughby healthcare lavatory fixtures, helping facilities add point-of-use water treatment without relying on chemical disinfectants or replaceable filters.
Power and Installation Requirements
The system uses a 12-volt plug-in transformer and requires access to 110-volt power via a ground-fault circuit interrupter (GFCI) receptacle. Installation and maintenance must follow the instructions provided by Chicago Faucets.
